Review
This books was so great.  Heart warming and heart wrenching.  This author writes kids cute as hell!  I read this book in about 5 and a half hours.  I'm a pretty slow reader, so that's saying something.  I didn't make a lot of notes on this book, a small handful, but that's because I was so wrapped up in the story to notice anything.  I'm glad I didn't beta this one.  I'm in this author's street team and she posts chapters as they're written.  It would've been pure torture to wait for the next chapters in this one!  It's a total page turner!

Check out the previous books in the series!

The Gatekeeper's Daughter

4 of 5 Stars

Therese and Than fell in love in The Gatekeeper's Sons.  In The Gatekeeper's Challenge, Therese was SOOOO close, but ultimately failed her last challenge, so Than broke an oath to turn Therese into a god anyway.  Now Therese has to find her purpose in order to remain a god, and Ares is paranoid.  With godly powers, Therese may want to get vengeance for her parents' deaths.  While that isn't really in her nature, Ares kidnaps her, fearing her potential actions.  Will Therese find her purpose so she can remain a god?  Will they be able to convince Ares that she is not a threat?

This was a really good read!  I may be biased, but I can't recommend this author enough!  I read this book and the previous book in one sitting.  Probably would've started the next one too if I had had it, as this story just ended too soon for me.  The personal strength and the strength of their love, these two take on every obstacle thrown at them, with confidence that it will be overcome, is just amazing.  I can't wait to see what else Eva has planned for these two in the near future!  If you haven't already, go grab all three books!  You won't regret it.

Review of The Gatekeeper's Challenge by Eva Pohler

4 of 5 Stars

In The Gatekeeper's Sons, Therese and Than fell in love.  Ten months later, Than has been out of contact, but frantically searching for a way for Therese to become a god, so they can be together. He finally finds a way, but to do so, Hades tells them that Therese has to successfully complete 5 challenges.  With no outside help, she has to go up against a Hydra, the Minotaur, a dragon...as well as a few other obstacles, both personal and challenge related.  Will Therese be able to succeed?  Will they finally be able to be together?

This was a great read.  With so much action and excitement, I read this book and the next in one sitting!  I was really rooting for Therese to succeed.  She and Than had already been through so much, though I wanted to smack him when he simply tells her he's been "busy" when he finally sees her.  Not busy trying to find a way for them to be together, just BUSY?!  I love this author, she never fails to get me sucked into her books whenever I read them!  If you haven't read any of her books, I recommend you go get The Gatekeeper's Sons. It's still free on several sites, what have you got to lose?  May want to buy The Gatekeeper's Daughter when you buy The Gatekeeper's Challenge, Eva ends this book with one hell of a Cliffhanger!  So go out and buy them all now, and keep an eye out for more reviews of books from this author.  I plan to read, if I can, everything she has ever written!

Review of Grade A Stupid by AJ Lape

4 of 5 Stars

Darcy is known for getting in trouble.  Her best friend Dylan normally keeps her in check.  When Dylan goes to Hawaii with his family for Spring Break, he makes her promise to stay out of trouble, and has some friends keep an eye on her.  When she skips class one day and finds a body, will she be able to keep her promise?

You know, at first I thought, I'm not sure I like how this author ends a scene...just kinda cuts things off.  Then things started to happen and I look up what seems like five minutes later and realize that I've been reading for two hours?!  That's how into the story I was, and it was so intense that I was breathing heavy and my heart was beating like crazy, lol.  AJ has some serious skills, I never thought a YA novel would get me that involved.  I mean it's one thing to get wrapped up in a book and lose track of time, but wow!  I recommend having No Brainer on hand!  You'll want to read it right away.

Jealousy by Jenna Galicki

5 of 5 Stars!

Heather and Justin are soul mates, best friends, as close as any two people could possibly be. They've loved each other since they were kids and are virtually inseparable. Too bad he's gay, and their love is purely platonic. Join them on their journey, battling jealousy from the men in their lives as well as their own. Will either of them ever find a man who can handle their relationship and not be threatened by it?

OMG I loved this book! I would've read it in one sitting if my eyes could've stayed open that long! This author has the ability to pull the reader in and really made me care about the characters. Feeling for them with all the trials and obstacles they came across. I love a book that sends me on an emotional roller-coaster ride! Anger, frustration, joy, sadness, shock! This book had it all! If I gave partial stars, this book would probably get a 4.75, so I'm rounding up, and giving it a 5. I laughed, gasped, scowled, and was sad. The only thing this book didn't do is actually make me cry, but there were moments that it was close. Takes some serious skill from an author to get a reader so into the book, that they are that emotional, so well done Jenna Galicki! I hope to read more from this author in the future!
